Paperless Production

A manufacturing company launched a digitalization initiative to make its production processes more transparent and gradually transition to paperless manufacturing.

As a first step, we integrated three machines into the new system: two machines from third-party suppliers and one machine that we retrofitted and equipped with our control system and software. At the same time, we developed the dashboards and continuously coordinated interfaces and data points with the machine manufacturers and the customer.

The initial project goal is to provide transparent and traceable measurement of employee performance, particularly for shifts outside regular office hours. In addition, key figures on product throughput are collected to enable more targeted production management. In the long term, the goal is to make the entire production process paperless. To achieve this, all relevant production data is captured digitally, stored centrally and made available in real time through the dashboards as part of the modernization of the machine control systems.

This project demonstrates how end-to-end digitalization can be implemented step by step even in a mixed machine environment with equipment from different manufacturers.
